If you’re lost then you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Being lost is beautiful space to be in and I’ve got a recommendation for you. The book I’d encourage you to go and get is, ‘The Way of the Superior Man’ by David Deida.
David talks about the importance of being lost as a man.
Every man reaches that stage in life when they become lost and feel like they should fill it with some kind of distraction or abstraction, or the thing that keeps us busy.
When you come and attend one of our events, you are there because you feel like on some level that something is missing from your life and you don’t know what it is.
You feel like there’s possibly a little bit of a void and you’re not sure how to fill it.
Maybe you’ve tried to fill it with material stuff. In some cases with a relationship, with drugs and alcohol, in some cases with a little bit of sex.
In reality being lost is a vacancy that’s required for us to find what it is that we’re here to do.
If we’re filling our time with distraction and abstraction, when that thing comes along we might miss it.
So in this time of feeling lost, enjoy the freedom.
If you feel like you’re just existing, if you are feeling frustrated at the moment understand that all you are seeing in this moment is the downside. It’s just perspective, right?
My question is: what’s the benefit of existence, and what’s the benefit of where you are right now?
You have enormous freedom. You live in a sea of potential because you’re not defined by any one thing that you’re doing right now. You’re swimming in a sea of a trillion threads – and you can pull on any one and create an incredible life. You can sit and see which one pulls on you first.
Remember, you are alive!
You’ve got breath in your lungs, you’ve got food. Your winning. You’ve won.
I too used to have a massive void, massive void.
Something was missing (for me) and I didn’t know what it was. I searched for years and years and years, through the acquisition of money, the acquisition of success, visibility, relationships, material items; cars, houses, holidays, notoriety.
The more stuff I had – the bigger that void became, to the point that I actually realized that what I was looking for wasn’t out there. What I was looking for…was inside of me.
What you’re looking for is actually inside you already.
What you’re looking for is a feeling that actually everything is ok and you’re ok, and everything is going to be ok and that you’re on the right path.
I can tell you right now…you’re there, you just haven’t realised it yet.
YOU are exactly where you are meant to be!
YOU are here, present.
